In our ever-changing world, I am proud to say that one thing is certain: despite the challenges we have faced, the SMMUSD School Board has been able to prioritize and maintain both academic excellence and equity in our schools—ensuring that that our schools offer a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment that provides all of our students with the educational tools they need to succeed.

As a School Board member, I have been faced with some of the most challenging decisions I have ever had to make. I am proud that the decisions that kept me up at night have kept our children safe, healthy and engaged in learning, despite the challenges the country and our state face.
 

I am running for re-election because I’ve come to appreciate how much professional experience, life experience and leadership matter. These qualities, along with my ability to collaborate and be a team player, have allowed me to play a key role in moving our District towards even greater equity, excellence and engagement.
 

I am excited to continue working with our incredible teachers, staff, parents and community members as I embark on my last term on the School Board.
